eastAUSmilk’s new team: District Councillors and Board Members

There’s new faces as well as very experienced dairy farmers amongst those declared elected in eastAUSmilk’s recent triennial elections.

The new team take office from 1 January 2026, and reflect a new district structure driven by excellent membership growth in New South Wales since NSW’s Dairy Connect amalgamated with Queensland Dairyfarmers’ Organisation in 2021.

Board members Joe Bradley (current President), Tim Bale (Vice-President), Waylon Barron (Vie-President) Ruth Kydd, and Paul Newland all return to the Board for another term, and the newest member is Daniel Latham from Comboyne in New South Wales.

In the New South Wales Central District (Sydney to Kew) new District Councillors are Ken Atkins, Tim Bale, Rod Lattimore, Sam Nicholson, Max Wake, and Natasha Yarrington.

New South Wales North District’s (Lismore to Comboyne) new District Councillors are Ken Bryant, Heath Cook, and Daniel Latham.

New District Councillors in eastAUSmilk’s New South Wales South District are Ruth Kydd, Peter Middlebrook, and Vanessa Todd.

In the Queensland North/Central District, new District Councillors are Glen Drury, James Geraghty, and Paul Newland.

Queensland South Coast District covers Gympie/Moreton/Brisbane Valley/Scenic Rim and the new District Councillors are Joe Bradley, Brian Cox, Jason McInnes, Matt Trace, and Gary Wenzel.

New District Councillors in Queensland’s South Inland District (Darling Downs/South Burnett/Lockyer Valley) are Waylon Barron, Tim Beattie, and Matt Henry.

All nominees were declared elected unopposed.

While all positions were filled in the New South Wales Central District, there remain three vacant positions on the New South Wales North District Council, three vacant positions on the New South Wales South District Council, three vacant positions on the Queensland North/Central District Council, one vacant position on the Queensland South Coast District Council, and three vacant positions on the Queensland South Inland District Council.

It is expected that some of these remaining positions will be filled as casual vacancies over the next few months.

eastAUSmilk is grateful to everyone who has participated, and everyone who thought about putting their name forward – it’s a powerfully representative democracy when there are so many members involved in the organisation’s structure.
