3 board members from NSW and 3 from Queensland for upcoming eastAUSmilk elections
The existing board of eastAUSmilk concludes its term on 31 December 2025. As a result, we are having elections over the next few months to elect new board members and district councillors for all positions.
The board of eastAUSmilk met earlier this week to review the structure of eastAUSmilk and decide on the structure for the upcoming election. We currently have 2 board members from NSW and 4 from Queensland.
The board has decided that for the upcoming elections, we will have 3 board members from NSW and 3 from Queensland. This reflects that we have around 100 new members in NSW over the past 3 years and we now have around the same number of members in NSW as we do in Queensland. We have always had a board structure to create equity between number of members in each region in a logistically sensible way.
The 6 new regions for the upcoming eastAUSmilk elections are:
· Qld North/Central
· Qld South Coast (Gympie/Moreton, Brisbane Valley and Scenic Rim)
· Qld South Inland (Darling Downs, south Burnett and Lockyer Valley)
· NSW North (Lismore to Comboyne)
· NSW Central (Sydney to Kew)
· NSW South (Sydney to Victorian border)
This is a very positive step for eastAUSmilk and creates equity for our members across NSW and Queensland. Further information on the elections will be provided over the next month. Please contact me or any eastAUSmilk director if you have any questions.
